De quoi ne manque-t’on jamais quand on a un bébé qui commence la diversification? Des bavoirs!!! 🙂Et à mon humble avis, ceux en éponge épaisse sont les meilleurs! Comment essuyer la bouche (heu… le visage même! 😀 ), les mains ou encore absorber l’eau qui coule quand ils apprennent à boire au verre avec les bavoirs en “plastique”?!… Bref.
Ce qui est également pratique avec la confection de bavoirs, c’est que l’on peut utiliser plein de restes de tissus!
Voici donc un patron maison (bavoir Keep Calm que l’on retrouve également ici) avec un reste de tissu éponge initialement acheté pour la cape de bain (ici), une jolie broderie de la cocotte à carreaux (ici), un beau chambray à petits points pour l’appliqué et un reste de jersey turquoise pour le dos (celui-là vient d’une chemise de nuit confectionnée pour ma fille et personnalisée avec ma Silhouette que vous découvrirez très prochainement!… – punaise le teasing de malade!!! mdr)

And I think the best one are those in thick sponge! How can you mop the mouth (mmm… the face actually! 😀 ), the hands or the water flowing when they learn to drink in a glas with a bib in “plastic”?!… Whatever.
What is also practical with sewing bibes, it is that you can use lost of fabrics’ rests!
So here is a home made pattern (bib Keep Calm that you can also find here) with a rest of sponge fabric initially bought for this towel (here), a nice embroidery from la cocotte à carreaux (here), a lovely chambray with white little dots for the appliqué and a rest of turquoise jersey for the back (this one comes from a night dress for my daughter I sew and also customized with my Silhouette that you will discover very soon!… – man this crazy teasing!!! lol)
